Suspected impaired driver crashes into Washoe County Sherif…

Dui Crash Nevada Today in Nevada: Deputies responded to a crash at Douglas Drive and Eastlake Boulevard in Washoe County just before 10 p.m. Friday, where two people from the at-fault vehicle had fled on foot. During a search for the fleeing larceny suspects near the gravel pits off Jumbo Grade, a separate vehicle traveling at high speed down a dirt road crashed head-on into an unoccupied Washoe County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle. The driver, 19-year-old Makaylie Briggs-Rowland, was arrested for driving under the influence, and the four occupants were determined to be unrelated to the original crash and larceny investigation. One of the original suspects, 29-year-old Gaylen Downs, was taken to a hospital with crash injuries before being cited for larceny and resisting a public officer.
