Car Crash New York Today in New York: A 31-year-old female driver of a 2006 Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound on the Southern State Parkway west of exit 20N in the Town of Hempstead on June 17, 2026, at approximately 2:02 p.m. when she attempted to avoid an unknown black vehicle and crashed. The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and her 4-year-old passenger was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to assist in the investigation.
