One Person Hospitalized After Shooting Near Liberty Street…

Shooting Newburgh New York in Newburgh, New York: Gunfire broke out at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, near Liberty Street and East Parmenter Street in Newburgh, New York. Police confirmed at least one victim was taken to Montefiore St. Luke's hospital, with a possible second person also hurt. Neighbors reported hearing seven or eight gunshots before seeing people running from the area in panic. Police closed the block with crime scene tape to Washington Street as detectives photographed the scene and placed evidence markers. The shooting occurred across the street from George Washington's historic Newburgh Headquarters.
