One killed, four injured in Mattapan shooting on Blue Hill…

Shooting Boston Massachusetts in Boston, Massachusetts: Boston police identified the victim of a fatal shooting early Saturday in Mattapan as 26-year-old Jose Dantes of Brockton. Officers responded about 1:45 a.m. Saturday to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 1447 Blue Hill Ave, where they found four people suffering from gunshot wounds at two nearby locations. Dantes was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other victims suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were taken to a local hospital, and a fifth victim later went to a hospital outside Boston before being transferred to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Boston Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
