Newburgh man dies in cliff diving accident at Fishkill Cree…

Drowning Beacon New York in Beacon, New York: Beacon police say Vincent Javinett, 34, of Newburgh, died in a cliff diving accident at Fishkill Creek in Beacon. Witnesses called 911 on Thursday to report that Javinett had not resurfaced for several minutes after jumping off a cliff into the water below. City police, fire, and EMS responded to the area near 508 Fishkill Ave., and a State Police diving team recovered Javinett from under the water. Beacon Police recovered video evidence from the scene and confirmed the incident was a tragic accident.
