Motorcyclist killed, teen driver charged after crash on Riv…

Motorcycle Crash Virginia Today in Virginia: A 57-year-old motorcyclist, Gilbert Allen of Falls Church, was riding in the 5800 block of Riverview Road in James City County on June 28, 2026, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Allen was transported to Sentara Williamsburg Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old James City County male, was not injured and was charged in connection with the crash. The James City County Police Crash Team conducted an investigation, and Riverview Road was closed between York River State Park and Newman Road during the response.
