Car Crash Marked Tree Arkansas in Marked Tree, Arkansas: A Marked Tree police officer was killed early Sunday morning when the patrol vehicle he was riding in was struck by another driver who failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the cruiser to overturn. Officer Trevor Howard, 25, of Marmaduke, was a passenger in a 2023 Dodge patrol vehicle driven by Officer Anthony Johnson, 22, of Paragould. The crash occurred at 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 14 and Broadway in Marked Tree. The driver of the 1996 Mercury, Kareem Jones, 28, of Marked Tree, was airlifted to a Memphis hospital with serious injuries, while Officer Johnson was taken to NEA Baptist Hospital with unknown injuries.
