Car Crash Marked Tree Arkansas in Marked Tree, Arkansas: A Marked Tree police officer was killed and another was injured in a crash just before 3 a.m. Sunday in Marked Tree, Arkansas, according to the Arkansas State Police. Twenty-five-year-old Officer Trevor Howard died from his injuries, while Officer Anthony Johnson, 22, was taken to NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred when 28-year-old Kareem Jones of Marked Tree, driving a 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis north on Broadway (Highway 14), failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the officers' Dodge Ram 1500, which overturned. Jones was airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis with serious injuries.
