Assault Cold Spring Minnesota in Cold Spring, Minnesota: A man was killed in a stabbing at a residence in Cold Spring, Minnesota on Saturday evening. Officers arrived just after 8:30 p.m., attempted lifesaving measures on the man with a stab wound, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. A man at the residence was taken into custody and is being held at the Stearns County Jail pending formal charges. The Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department is leading the investigation with assistance from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Avon Police Department, Cold Spring Fire Department Rescue and Mayo Ambulance. Authorities said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
