Pedestrian Hit Mabank Texas in Mabank, Texas: On June 27, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Mabank Fire Chief Charles Woodard was struck by a pickup truck while directing traffic on US Business 175 (W. Mason St) near the rodeo grounds in Mabank. The Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol was requested to assist with the vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at US Business 175 and County Road 4006. Woodard was taken to a local medical facility where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
