Bicycle Crash Fremont California in Fremont, California: An adult man riding an electric bicycle was struck by a car near the on-ramp to northbound Interstate 880 in Fremont, California, on Saturday at around 4:30 p.m. The car was traveling westbound on Auto Mall Parkway in a designated right-turn lane to enter the northbound I-880 on-ramp, while the e-bike rider was traveling eastbound in the westbound bike lane at the on-ramp entrance when the two collided. The e-bike rider suffered head trauma and was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the car, an adult woman, was not injured and remained at the scene cooperating with investigators. The Alameda County Coroner's Bureau is working to identify the man and notify his next of kin.
