Pedestrian Hit Half Moon Bay California in Half Moon Bay, California: A 20-year-old woman was run over by a pickup truck driven by a California State Parks lifeguard while she was lying on the sand at Francis Beach, the main stretch of Half Moon Bay State Beach, on June 24. The lifeguard, a seasonal employee, was allegedly distracted at the time of the incident. The woman was treated at the scene, transported by ambulance to a local hospital, and hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is investigating and no arrests have been made.
