Bicycle Crash Monticello Minnesota in Monticello, Minnesota: A 53-year-old Elk River woman was injured Saturday after being struck by an SUV while riding her bicycle through a marked crosswalk at the Interstate 94 and Highway 25 interchange in Monticello. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred just after noon on June 27 as a 2003 Ford Expedition exited westbound I-94 and turned right to head north on Highway 25. The bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was traveling south along the Highway 25 sidewalk and was crossing the intersection in a marked crosswalk when the SUV and bicycle collided. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare's Monticello Hospital. The driver, Richard Wendt, 48, of Burnsville, and two passengers were not injured.
