Pedestrian Hit Florida Today in Florida: A 21-year-old Orlando man was struck and killed by a 2014 BMW 535i while attempting to cross Gatlin Avenue near Evander Drive in Orange County shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the man was walking along the shoulder and stepped into the path of the westbound vehicle without using a marked crosswalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The 18-year-old Orlando driver was not injured and remained at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
