Shooting Grand Prairie Texas in Grand Prairie, Texas: A 19-year-old man was arrested after an alleged accidental shooting killed one person in Grand Prairie, Texas. Police responded just before 3 a.m. Saturday to a fatal shooting in the 500 block of MacArthur Boulevard, where witnesses said Alexander Chavez was sitting in the backseat of a vehicle parked in front of a home and was recklessly handling a firearm when it discharged, killing the victim in the driver's seat. Chavez fled the scene but was later taken into custody. The victim's name and age had not been released.
