Workplace Accident Cold Spring Minnesota in Cold Spring, Minnesota: A 29-year-old worker, Jesse Leal, was killed in a workplace accident at the Pilgrim's Pride meat processing plant in Cold Spring, Minnesota, on June 25, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m. Leal was pinned under equipment in the loading dock area while repairing a loading dock. Co-workers removed him from under the equipment before emergency responders arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office. The Cold Spring/Richmond Police Department, Stearns County Sheriff's Office, Cold Spring Rescue, and Mayo Ambulance responded to the scene. Co-workers organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to help with funeral expenses and to return his body to Guatemala.
