Car Crash Connecticut Today in Connecticut: A 55-year-old Vernon man was killed Friday afternoon when the 2006 Lexus RX SUV he was driving crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the westbound lanes of Interstate 291 in South Windsor, Connecticut, state police said. The crash occurred just before 3 p.m. between the Exit 2 off- and on-ramps. The man suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 49-year-old Bloomfield driver of the tractor-trailer reported a minor injury but refused medical treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
