Car Crash Louisiana Today in Louisiana: On June 27, 2026, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 106 near Liz's Lane in Evangeline Parish. A 2002 Toyota Tundra driven by 29-year-old James Woodruff III of Ville Platte was traveling west on the highway when it encountered a fallen tree blocking both lanes. Woodruff, who was not restrained, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
