Car Crash Gretna Virginia in Gretna, Virginia: On June 27, 2026, at about 12:50 p.m., the Pittsylvania County 911 Center received notification of a crash in the 12,000 block of East Gretna Road in Gretna, Virginia. First responders found a vehicle that had crashed into a home. While entering the home to search for potentially injured occupants, emergency personnel discovered the bodies of a 34-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both residents of the home, with apparent gunshot wounds. The bodies were taken to the Roanoke Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy. The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office is investigating and has released no further information about the connection between the bodies and the vehicle or the status of anyone in the vehicle.
