A caller in the 300 block of Iowa Street, about a mile away, reported that the suspect had approached them, said he had just shot two people, and intended to engage officers in a gunfight in an attempt to commit 'suicide by cop.' Officers used a drone and K9 units to track the suspect, who was found hiding in a chicken coop in a residential backyard and was taken into custody without physical force.
