Car Crash Rochester New York in Rochester, New York: Two people died and a third was injured in a multi-vehicle wrong-way crash on the Inner Loop in Rochester, NY, around 1:26 a.m. on June 26, 2026, according to New York State Police. A Honda CR-V traveling against traffic in the eastbound lanes near the St. Paul Street overpass struck a Ford Fusion head-on. The Ford's 21-year-old driver and 21-year-old front-seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene, while the impact pushed the Ford into a Jeep Liberty, injuring its driver who was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 39-year-old driver of the Honda was unresponsive when troopers arrived and was also hospitalized; autopsies were ordered and the State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
