Car Crash Chaplin Connecticut in Chaplin, Connecticut: Two people were killed and three others were injured in a head-on, two-vehicle crash late Friday night on Route 6 in Chaplin, Connecticut, according to Connecticut State Police. The deceased were identified as Jaiden Pacheco, 20, of Windham, and Geovani Aponte Jr., 18, of Willimantic, both passengers in a 2022 Hyundai Elantra that collided with a 2018 Dodge Journey at 11:53 p.m. The 19-year-old driver of the Hyundai and an 18-year-old passenger from Willimantic suffered serious injuries and were transported to Hartford Hospital, while the 44-year-old driver of the Dodge reported minor injuries and was taken to Windham Hospital. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
