The first crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. in Marion County at the intersection of State Route MM and Veterans Road within the city limits of Hannibal, involving a two-vehicle collision between a Ram truck and a Honda CR-V; the female driver of the Honda and her 76-year-old female passenger from Wesson, Mississippi, both sustained serious injuries and were transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital. The second crash occurred around 7:08 p.m. in Clark County on Missouri Route 81, roughly a half-mile north of Kahoka, when a 24-year-old female driver from Wayland lost control of her vehicle and sustained minor injuries; she was not wearing a seat belt.
