Newburgh man dies in cliff diving accident at Fishkill Cree…

Drowning Beacon New York in Beacon, New York: Vincent Javinett, 34, of Newburgh, died in a tragic accident while cliff diving into Fishkill Creek in Beacon. Witnesses called 911 on Thursday to report that Javinett had not resurfaced for several minutes after jumping off a cliff into the water near 508 Fishkill Ave. Beacon police, fire, and EMS arrived six minutes after the call, and a State Police diving team later recovered Javinett from under the water. Police recovered video evidence confirming the incident was an accident.
