Louisiana State Police identify DeSoto head-on crash victims

Carlos Helm of Mansfield, 49, and Alonzo Thompkins of Arlington, Texas, 39, were both pronounced dead at the scene. According to Louisiana State Police, Helm's northbound Chevrolet SUV crossed the center line, though the reason is unknown. Both were properly restrained and impairment is not suspected, but both suffered fatal injuries.
