Lawsuit Highlights Injuries After BioLab Chemical Fire
Vehicle Fire Georgia Today in Georgia: A fire at the BioLab chemical plant on September 29, 2024, activated the sprinkler system, which mixed water with chlorine-based chemicals and released a hazardous chemical plume over portions of the surrounding Georgia community. Nearly 100,000 residents were exposed to the plume, and the plant was mostly destroyed. Recently filed lawsuits allege that exposed residents and Rockdale County law enforcement officers continue to suffer severe respiratory injuries from inhaling the airborne contaminants, with one resident reporting chemical residue covering his home.
