Dui Crash Wauconda Illinois in Wauconda, Illinois: A driver identified as Jackson B. Volk led police on a 105 mph chase through a 45 mph zone in Wauconda after refusing a traffic stop. The pursuit began around 9:15 p.m. on June 4 when the Lake County Sheriff's Office alerted Wauconda Police to a reckless driver. Volk's vehicle struck another car while coming around a bend, causing that car to spin 360 degrees, and the driver of the struck vehicle was transported to the hospital. Volk admitted to having six beers, had a strong odor of alcohol, and alcohol was found thrown from his rolled-over vehicle. He was charged with aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing to elude, possession of a controlled substance, DUI, reckless driving, speeding, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper traffic lane usage, and illegal transportation of alcohol.
