Honda CR-V strikes pedestrian on US 36 westbound near Bould…

Pedestrian Hit Colorado Today in Colorado: Colorado State Patrol troopers responded around 3:45 p.m. on June 27, 2026, to a crash on U.S. 36 westbound near Boulder between mile marker 41 exits at 170 and Cherryvale Road. A Mercury Mountaineer SUV had broken down in the center lane, and pedestrians were walking toward it on both shoulders. A Honda CR-V traveling westbound in the same lane attempted to avoid the broken-down vehicle, lost control, swerved into the shoulder, and struck a man who was hospitalized with unknown injuries. CDOT closed the westbound lanes and directed traffic to McCaslin Road to South Boulder or Marshall Road.
