Car Crash Smithville Alabama in Smithville, Alabama: Houston County 911 dispatched Rehobeth Fire-Rescue, Hodgesville Volunteer Fire, and Cottonwood Rescue to a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 231 South near Smithville Road. ALEA Troopers were dispatched to investigate the crash, which occurred in the southbound lanes. After emergency units arrived, it was determined four vehicles were involved: a Toyota stopped and was struck from behind by a silver SUV, which was then struck by a Chevrolet 2500 truck. ALEA Troopers handled the on-scene investigation.
