Semi Truck Crash Bolton North Carolina in Bolton, North Carolina: Deputy Damien Draper Bost, 30, of the Columbus County Sheriff's Office died at an area hospital after a tractor-trailer struck his marked patrol vehicle from behind on U.S. 74 in Bolton, North Carolina. Bost was shielding a roadway striping crew conducting paint operations in the right lane when the tractor-trailer, driven by David McPherson, 33, failed to reduce speed. The semitruck then struck a bumper truck ahead of the patrol vehicle, injuring its 24-year-old operator, who was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
