Car Crash Blue Island Illinois in Blue Island, Illinois: A deadly crash involving an IDOT vehicle on I-57 northbound at 127th Street in Blue Island, Illinois, early Saturday morning left one person dead and another person injured. According to Illinois State Police, a passenger vehicle and an IDOT SUV were involved in a crash and pulled over to the left shoulder, where they were then hit by another vehicle. One person was taken to an area hospital where they died, and a second person was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Both lanes of traffic were shut down as authorities investigated.
