9-Year-Old Boy Dies Days After Hotel Pool Drowning In Pocon…
Swimming Pool Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania: A 9-year-old boy from Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, was pulled from the swimming pool at the Days Inn by Wyndham on Hill Motor Lodge Road in Pocono Township around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Bystanders and emergency responders performed life-saving measures before he was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 3:51 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. An autopsy completed Thursday, June 25, determined the cause of death was complications of drowning, with the manner of death ruled an accident by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. The investigation is being conducted by the Lehigh County Coroner's Office with Pocono Township Police and the Monroe County District Attorney's Office.
