9-year-old boy dies after drowning in hotel pool in Pocono…
Drowning Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania: A 9-year-old boy from Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, was pulled from the swimming pool at the Days Inn by Wyndham on Hill Motor Lodge Road in Pocono Township around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20. Bystanders and emergency responders performed life-saving measures before he was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 3:51 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23. An autopsy completed Thursday, June 25, determined the cause of death was complications of drowning, and Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio ruled the manner of death an accident. The Lehigh County Coroner's Office, Pocono Township Police, and the Monroe County District Attorney's Office are continuing the investigation.
