Bicycle Crash Spring Township Pennsylvania in Spring Township, Pennsylvania: John Barton Renninger, 78, of Mohnton Borough, was riding his bicycle eastbound on Revere Boulevard (Route 724) in Spring Township shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, when a westbound SUV attempted to make a left turn onto Cloister Court and struck him. Despite wearing a helmet, Renninger suffered fatal blunt force trauma injuries and was pronounced dead after being taken to Reading Hospital, where the Berks County Coroner's Office was notified at 3:06 p.m. The manner of death was certified as accidental. The Spring Township Police Department is assisting with the investigation.
