Bicycle Crash Spring Township Pennsylvania in Spring Township, Pennsylvania: A 78-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck and killed in Spring Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania on Friday, June 26, 2026. The bicyclist, identified as John Barton Renninger of Mohnton Borough, was riding eastbound on Revere Boulevard (Route 724) near Cloister Court when a westbound car attempted to make a left turn onto Cloister Court and struck him. Renninger was pronounced dead at approximately 3:06 p.m. and was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The Spring Township Police Department and Berks County Coroner investigated, and the coroner certified the death as accidental.
