Car Crash Raleigh North Carolina in Raleigh, North Carolina: An 18-year-old driving a 2022 white Chevy Blazer was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Arco Corporate Drive near Macaw Street in the Brier Creek Commons shopping center area of northwest Raleigh on Saturday afternoon. Police said the SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed, exited the roadway to the right, struck two trees, and partially burned. The driver, Abraham Karim Manrique Ponce, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected; he was transported to a local hospital and died from his injuries. A juvenile front-seat passenger wearing a seat belt exited the SUV independently and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Raleigh Police Department investigation is ongoing.
