Car Crash Santa Maria Emergency California in Santa Maria Emergency, California: One person was killed Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 166 along the border of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties east of Santa Maria. Emergency crews responded near Willow Springs shortly after 5 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that had plunged approximately 200 feet over the side of the highway. Santa Barbara County Fire Department Capt. Mike Gray confirmed one deceased person had been found, and a search was underway for other possible victims.
