Wrong-way driver on way to Tempe rolls over near Tucson
Dui Crash Marana Arizona in Marana, Arizona: A woman driving home after a night out in Phoenix was involved in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 10 near Marana after authorities said she had been drinking alcohol and using marijuana, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol. At about 2:30 a.m. on June 14, DPS received multiple reports of a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes near Cortaro Farms Road. Before officers could locate and stop the vehicle, a crash occurred near Avra Valley Road, when the wrong-way driver sideswiped another vehicle, causing it to roll over onto its roof. The wrong-way driver was administered a breath test showing a blood alcohol concentration of 0.214 percent before being taken to a hospital for evaluation, and remains hospitalized while recovering from long-term injuries; the other driver was treated and released from the hospital.
