Car Crash Dix Hills New York in Dix Hills, New York: A single-vehicle crash on the westbound Long Island Expressway near Exit 52 in Dix Hills seriously injured a 38-year-old woman on Friday at about 3:05 p.m. The driver of a 2011 Honda lost control, left the roadway, and overturned onto the entrance ramp, according to Suffolk County Police. The woman was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip with serious injuries. All westbound lanes at Exit 53 were closed for several hours for investigation before reopening Friday evening, and police impounded the vehicle for a safety check.
