Woman run over by lifeguard at popular California beach
Car Crash Half Moon Bay California in Half Moon Bay, California: An on-duty lifeguard drove an official patrol vehicle over a 20-year-old woman who was lying on the sand at Francis Beach, part of Half Moon Bay State Beach in Northern California, on a Wednesday afternoon. The woman was treated on the sand by Coastside Fire crews and State Park peace officers before being transported by ambulance to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. San Mateo County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene near Kelly Avenue at about 3:45 p.m., and authorities said initial reports indicated the driver may have been distracted.
