Pedestrian Hit Margate City New Jersey in Margate City, New Jersey: A 64-year-old woman from Pennsylvania was struck by a gray Hyundai Elantra while attempting to cross the intersection of Essex and Ventnor Avenues in a crosswalk in Margate City, New Jersey, at about 5:45 PM on Thursday. The Hyundai was driven by 84-year-old Earlene Schoener of Margate and was traveling eastbound on Ventnor Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center and is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries. Police say summonses are pending the outcome of the investigation.
