Pedestrian Hit Redlands California in Redlands, California: A 38-year-old woman was killed Thursday night after being struck by a utility trailer being towed by a pickup truck while walking along Orange Street in Redlands, California. The collision occurred about 10 p.m. on Orange Street north of Pioneer Avenue; police said the woman was walking south when she was hit by the trailer of a small pickup truck also traveling south. The 56-year-old driver told investigators he did not see the woman, showed no signs of impairment, and the cause remains under investigation by the Redlands Police Department's Traffic Unit. Redlands Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
