Hit And Run Lantana Florida in Lantana, Florida: Investigators say Charles Valdez, driving a Jeep Wrangler, fled the scene of an earlier hit-and-run crash on Dixie Highway in Lantana, Florida. Surveillance video shows the Jeep speeding at approximately 100 mph, passing other vehicles and striking one, before crashing into traffic stopped at a red light at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Ocean Avenue. The impact killed Jose Bedoya of Boca Raton, seriously injured another driver, and seriously injured Valdez. Valdez was also charged with shooting a projectile into an occupied vehicle in connection with the earlier crash.
