Assault Bridgeport Connecticut in Bridgeport, Connecticut: Willesha Riddick, 41, was fatally stabbed in the torso on June 9 at a Bridgeport rooming house following an argument with Johnnie Newkirk, 52, of Bridgeport. Video footage and a blood trail showed Riddick coming in and out of the front door while arguing with Newkirk before collapsing in the hallway and crawling toward the front steps, where she died over approximately eight minutes. Newkirk is charged with murder; he told police Riddick was swinging a knife at him, but investigators said his minor scratches were not consistent with stab wounds and his account conflicted with the video.
