Motorcycle Crash Lafayette Louisiana in Lafayette, Louisiana: A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Johnston Street in Lafayette on Thursday evening. Two people were on the motorcycle, turning onto Johnston Street, when the driver lost control and crashed into a pickup truck traveling south in the southbound lanes near E. Broussard Road. The motorcycle's passenger, identified as Jolene Gaspard Wheelock, a 911 dispatcher in Vermilion Parish, was pronounced dead at the scene. Lafayette Police are investigating the crash.
