Unsafe lane change kills driver on I-70 near Bonner Springs
Car Crash Bonner Springs Kansas in Bonner Springs, Kansas: A 44-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man was killed when his Honda Civic was struck by a Jeep Wrangler on westbound I-70 near Bonner Springs. The Kansas Highway Patrol says emergency crews responded around 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, after a report of a two-vehicle crash. Investigators determined that a 2016 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 31-year-old Independence man made an unsafe lane change from the left lane into the right lane, striking the rear of the Honda, forcing it off the roadway. The Honda driver was pronounced deceased at the scene; the Jeep's driver was uninjured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
