Car Crash Brookings South Dakota in Brookings, South Dakota: On June 25, 2026, at 1:42 PM, emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle injury collision on SD Highway 30 near Interstate 29 in Brookings County. According to the Brookings County Sheriff's Office, a 2014 Jeep Cherokee driven by 65-year-old Tamara Johnson of Brookings entered SD Highway 30 from Interstate 29 and collided with a 2022 Kia Telluride that was traveling westbound. The Kia, driven by 32-year-old Morgan Brown of Brookings, had two passengers: a 13-year-old and a 1.5-year-old. Johnson and the 13-year-old passenger were transported by ambulance to Brookings Hospital with unknown injuries.
