Car Crash Saugerties New York in Saugerties, New York: New York State Police ticketed a truck driver after a rollover crash at the Malden Service Area of the New York State Thruway (I-87) in Saugerties. Just before 9:00 p.m. on June 25, 2026, 35-year-old New Jersey-based truck driver Michelle Paulino Rosario lost control of a 2016 Freightliner as she entered the service area, causing the truck to overturn and spill its load of garbage in the parking lot. Firefighters and EMS extricated Rosario from the crashed truck, and she was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. NYSP said speed appeared to be a contributing factor, and the garbage spill was contained to the truck parking lot with no lane closures.
