Traffic Fatality: I‑20 EB EXPY at McDaniel St.

Motorcycle Crash Atlanta Georgia in Atlanta, Georgia: On June 26, 2026, Atlanta police responded to a fatal motorcycle crash on I-20 eastbound expressway at McDaniel Street. An adult male rider was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control, causing the motorcycle to go down and slide several hundred feet. The rider's helmet became damaged and came off during the crash, and he sustained fatal head injuries and was pronounced dead on scene by EMS. No additional vehicles were involved in the collision, and the APD Accident Investigations Unit is investigating.
