Car Crash Saugerties New York in Saugerties, New York: A New Jersey woman driving a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer lost control while entering the Malden Service Area on Interstate 87 in Saugerties just before 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, causing the vehicle to overturn and spill a load of refuse into the parking lot. New York State Police said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash. The driver, 35-year-old Michelle Paulino Rosario of Kearny, New Jersey, was pulled from the vehicle by firefighters and EMS and taken to Kingston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She was issued citations and will appear in Saugerties Town Court at a later date.
